CURRENT OPENINGS:

 

    • Sleep Study Tech – PRN:  Per physician order, performs a variety of sleep studies in order to diagnose the type and extent of sleep disorders.  Schedules diagnostic/consultative/educational activities for sleep patients.  Scores sleep records and documents test results. Must have the ability to work alone, good people skills and ability to maintain good rapport with physicians and staff.
      • Qualifications/Experience:
        • Completion of Polysomnography Program Certification strongly preferred.
        • CPR certification required.
      • Physical/Mental Requirements: Able to use informed judgment and individual competence to carry out sleep studies. Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

 

    • Med/Surg RN – Full Time Nights (36 hrs/wk, 6:30p.m. to 7:00a.m.): Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting. Communicates with physicians/nurse manager/co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Is able to perform general nursing duties with adequate supervision. Must have basic skills knowledge, working knowledge of medication and administration and basic computer skills.
      • Qualifications/Experience:
        • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current RN license in the State of Illinois.
        • CPR certification required.
      • Physical/Mental Requirements:  Must be able to stand and walk for periods of 2 hours or longer, able to lift 50# or more, able to handle stressful situations and make independent judgments and be flexible to the needs of the unit. May be exposed to communicable diseases.

 

    • Emergency Room RN – Full Time Nights (36 hrs/wk, 6:30p.m. to 7:00a.m.): Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system.  Communicates with ED physicians about changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies.  Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
      • Qualifications/Experience:
        • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current RN license in the State of Illinois.
        • One year Emergency/Critical Care experience or two years Medical/Surgical experience preferred.
        • CPR certification required.
        • ECRN, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC or TNS within one year of hire.
      • Physical/Mental Requirements: May be required to lift 50 lbs. or more.  Ability to function under stress and may be exposed to communicable diseases.

 

    • Family Medicine RN or LPN – PRN:  Knowledge and skills to provide appropriate evaluation, management and treatment of care as authorized and in collaboration with the clinic physician and nurse practitioner.

      • Qualifications/Experience:
        • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
        • Licensed as an RN or LPN with the State of Illinois
        • CPR Certification
      • Physical/Mental Requirements: Minimum lifting, sitting for extended periods of time, extensive computer input, using telephone, and writing.  High level of activity; fast paced environment; subject to constant interruptions.

 

    • Surgical Tech – PRN: Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations.  Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.  Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure.  Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures.  Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory.    Disassembles, cleans, assembles, sterilizes, and stores procedure trays, instruments, equipment and supplies according to prescribed procedures and aseptic technique under direct supervision.  Completes requests to dispense equipment and supplies.
      • Qualifications/Experience:
        • High school diploma or equivalent
        • OR Tech Certification preferred
        • CPR certification
        • Minimum one year experience in the OR
      • Physical/Mental Requirements: Must be able stand and walk without limitations, lift 50 lbs or more, handle stressful situations, and be flexible to the needs of the unit.
