CURRENT OPENINGS:

  • Full Time Lab Phlebotomist (40 hrs/wk, hours will vary as needed): Under broad supervision of Laboratory Manager, is primarily responsible for phlebotomy procedures and for management of the blood drawing room. Keeps laboratory supplied with needed items from central supply and is responsible for keeping accurate records of all laboratory tests, performing other clerical tasks, and working closely with Business Office to assure accurate and complete laboratory charges.  Computer and typing skills required, along with good verbal/written communication skills and telephone skills.  Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • High school graduate or equivalent.
      • Previous experience in phlebotomy helpful but will train the right candidate.  ASCP certification preferred.
      • CPR certification required.
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: May be required to lift 50 lbs. or more. Must be able to stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. May be exposed to communicable diseases.
  • PRN (as needed) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant: Under Physician supervision, assists in providing patient care by assessing patient’s needs and instituting appropriate care plans. Performs clinical procedures such as, but not limited to, venipuncture, care and suturing of minor lacerations, removal of superficial foreign bodies, application of dressings and bandages, and visual screenings.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • Experience with pediatrics preferred
      • Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant by the State of Illinois
      • Federal DEA license
      • Illinois Controlled Substance License
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: May be required to lift 50 lbs. or more. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and may be exposed to communicable diseases.
  • Part Time (16 hrs/wk) and PRN (as needed) Emergency Room Intake Technicians (schedule will include weekend and holiday rotation): Performs various administrative functions, such as reception and clerical work. Responsible for greeting incoming patients, completing full patient reception and registration functions which include entering demographic and insurance information. Assists ED RN in caring for patients who present to facility with life/limb threatening conditions. Must demonstrate an ability to be flexible with schedule and tasks and be able to function well in stressful situations.
    • Qualifications/Experience:
      • High school graduate or equivalent.
      • Licensed in the State of Illinois as EMT-B / P. NREMT or NREMT-P.
      • CPR certification required.
      • One year pre-hospital EMS experience preferred.
    • Physical/Mental Requirements: May be required to lift 50 lbs. or more. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and may be exposed to communicable diseases.
